I think I took a little bit from both prompts to come up with this....
"So," said Kris, and Adam snorted and looked away, not blushing but definitely with a faintly embarrassed cast to his body language.
It had been a full twelve hours, or close enough, but that wasn't long enough for Kris to forget the lines of Adam's back, the shape of Drake's mouth, the sheen of sweat on the back of Adam's neck and the size of his hands as they held Drake's thighs.
"So Drake decided to stay an extra ni--"
"Yeah, noticed that," interrupted Kris, rubbing the back of his neck. "You kind of forgot to tell me."
"Already made a mental note to send you a text next time," said Adam. "Well, less mental and more Drake writing it in sharpie on my ass so I won't forget."
"Bet he wasn't so polite about it," said Kris, and remembered too the words that had come out of Drake's mouth before they noticed he was there, harsh and hot and filthy as his shoulders hit the hotel room wall, and the following silence as Adam leaned in, sank his teeth into Drake's lower lip.
"There might have been some colorful language," Adam admitted.
"Sorry?" offered Kris. "Katy had just left for the airport and you'd given me the extra key card--"
"Yeah, no, it's cool," said Adam quickly. "Of course I did. I didn't know he was going to change his flight."
"So, yeah," said Kris. "Wow. Um. So."
"You know, if you wanted some gay porn I could've hooked you up, you didn't have to go for the live show," said Adam finally, looking up and breaking into a grin. Which Kris took as permission to finally laugh too, to just let it out.
"Oh my gosh, I wanted to die," he said. "I mean, not that it was bad! It was totally hot! Wait...no...I mean...."
"Oh no," said Adam, laughing harder. "You said it and it can't be unsaid. Shit, Kris, you wanted to die? I didn't walk in on your bare ass with Katy pressed up against a wall."
"I don't know if that was a hint or not," said Kris, "but I'm not sure Katy would be too keen on my inviting you over the next time we do that, just to make us even."
"If you can even think about making a phone call when you have your wife pressed up against a wall, you're not doing it right," said Adam. "Wow, though, so you're not all 'missionary only' after all."
"Me?" laughed Kris. "Conservative? Are you kidding? Unless you're suggesting I walked in on you on purpose in which case...I have a whole list of other things I would've chosen to walk in on first. No offense. I've already seen your ass."
"And any parts of me you hadn't seen were...hidden," said Adam.
Kris facepalmed and shook his head. "I can't believe you just said that," he said. "You realize I'm forever going to have that mental image in my head now."
"It's not my fault I'm unforgettable," said Adam. "So are we good? We're good, right?"
"Well, apparently you are," said Kris, and he knew he still had to look pretty embarrassed but he was grinning now and no longer hiding his face. "Especially if your sort-of boyfriend decided to stay an extra night for it."
"Yeah, about that--"
"What?" said Kris. "He's not your sort-of boyfriend? Oh no, he wasn't that mad, was he? Did I mess everything up for you?"
"No, no!" said Adam. "Actually, just the opposite, and you had nothing to do with it. Honestly, Kris, you just walked in on us, you didn't shout obscenities or post pictures on the internet. And even then, it'd be you he was mad at, not me."
"Okay, okay," said Kris, raising his hands in surrender. "So what does that even mean, then?"
"It means we sort of decided to be exclusive," said Adam, and it was funny that he seemed more shy about telling Kris that than he ever had been about any of his sexual exploits. If Kris hadn't already been grinning, he would have been after that.
"Really?" he said. "So you won't correct me when I call him your boyfriend anymore?"
"It would not be inaccurate to call him my boyfriend," agreed Adam, and he didn't have to add that Drake was the first person Adam'd been able to call his boyfriend in a while. Kris knew all about that.
"Oh no," he blurted out then. "I interrupted celebratory sex. I'm the worst friend ever."
"It's not like we didn't start again as soon as you fled the room," Adam reassured him, though all that did was plant more images in his head. "But hey, I'm sorry I wasn't there to hang out with you after Katy was gone. I know how lousy that is."
"You're apologizing to me?" said Kris. "Are you kidding me? I know...how big last night was for you. I should be groveling or something."
"How about we call it even then?" said Adam. Kris could still see, now that they'd gotten past the Big Embarrassing Talk, how pleased he was with the turn his relationship had taken. Of course he was.
"Deal," said Kris. "And congratulations, man. Drake's a lucky guy. Glad he knew a good thing when he had it."
"Glad he had the patience to wait for me to figure that out too," said Adam, and Kris didn't need that spelled out for him either. There weren't a whole lot of details they didn't know about one another's lives these days.
"I always knew someone would," said Kris. "You deserve it. Now come on, let's get some lunch and try to forget that I was an inadvertent part of it."
"Well, if someone had to be there," said Adam, "I'm glad it was you."
